Senran Kagura: Estival Versus Sakura Edition Announced for March in Japan

2

Marvelous has announced a “Sakura Edition” for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. The title will be a PS4 exclusive and will include a bonus “Sakura Swimsuit Set” and a special sleeve. The details are as follows:

  • Release Date: March 17, 2016
  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Price: 4,980 yen + tax (package or download)
  • Genre: Giant breasts hyper battle
  • Players: 1 to 10
  • Rating: CERO D (17 or older)
  • Bonus: “Sakura Swimsuit Set” product code including five outfits (all copies) and special sleeve (first-print copies)

At first, I thought that this would be some sort of “complete edition” that would include all of the DLC characters and clothing that has been added since release, but apparently it’s just the same game with a bit of new DLC that comes with the box, which is pretty disappointing to say the least. Either way, if you are into importing games and haven’t played Estival Versus yet, I suggest you pick this one up. The game will also be released in America very soon, but there has been no confirmation of the “Sakura Edition” ever coming to the west.

  1. I hope the game isn’t ruined by DLC. The cooking spin-off sucked because half the characters were removed so they could be sold as DLC.

  2. Most of the DLC is just clothing, and all the DLC characters are awesome so they’re worth getting. As for Bon Appetit, that was never a good game regardless or whether it had the DLC or not. And Estival Versus has a lot of internal problems with the combat that if people say that it sucks, it’s not gonna have anything to do with the DLC.
