Often at E3 Press Conferences, amidst the expected, there are usually a few surprises. They help keep the event fresh, exciting and this year was no different. During the Microsoft E3 Press Briefing, BANDAI NAMCO let their presence be felt with the announcement of JUMP FORCE. The anime brawler is coming to XBox, PS4 and PC in 2019. My fellow anime gamer nerds, our time in now!

Naruto and Luffy Combo Attack The lines that separate our world from the JUMP world have been blurred, with evil forces spilling into the real world to rule over humanity. The greatest heroes known to manga/anime including Goku, Luffy and Naruto must join together to triumph over the forces of evil seeping in from the JUMP world.

In JUMP FORCE, heroes and villains from Weekly Shonen Jump manga will clash in a battle across Earth. Players will be able to create their three-character manga/anime dream tag team to take into battle. The hyper stylish arena brawls will take place at famous landmarks like the Matterhorn and Times Square.

“With JUMP FORCE, we are thrilled to bring to life Shueisha’s deep catalogue of beloved franchises that have produced some of the most popular pop culture characters to ever come from Japan. JUMP FORCE gives fans of manga and anime a dream opportunity to see their favorite heroes come to life in our world in a globetrotting adventure filled with explosive battles of epic proportions.”

– Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.

Goku vs FreezaThis isn’t the first time we’ve been promised an epic anime mash up fighting adventure, lest we remember J-Stars. From the trailer alone, however, it’s easy to see that sights have been set much higher with JUMP FORCE. It will even be making use of Unreal Engine 4 to bring everyone’s favorite Japanese pop culture titans to life in stunning realistic detail.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America promise more character announcements down the road. With a roster that already includes Light and Ryuk from Death Note, hopes are high for more heavy hitters. Let us know who you hope to see on the roster.

JUMP FORCE will be available in 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via STEAM. Keep an eye out for more JUMP FORCE news as it becomes available.
